Whether you are preparing for a performance, working through a technical challenge, searching for a more beautiful and personal sound, or simply feeling that your playing has reached a plateau, private study can give you the perspective and direction that are difficult to find on your own.
I work one-on-one with classical guitarists who care deeply about their playing and want thoughtful, individual guidance.
Private lessons are online and available internationally.
A very personal approach to teaching
No two guitarists need the same lesson.
You may come to me because of a specific technical problem. You may want help preparing a piece for a recital or audition. You may have been playing for years but feel that your interpretation isn't communicating what you hear inside. Or perhaps you simply know that you can play better than you are playing right now.
My role as a teacher is not to impose one method on every student. It is to listen—to you and to your playing—and identify what is standing between where you are now and where you want to go.
Together, we can work on areas such as:

- Tone and sound production
- Musical interpretation and phrasing
- Repertoire
- Practice strategies
- Performance preparation
- Tension and technical obstacles
- Developing greater confidence and musical independence
Ultimately, my goal is not simply to help you play the guitar better.
I want to help you become a more independent, expressive and thoughtful musician.
Who are these lessons for?
My private studio includes musicians with different backgrounds and goals.
You do not need to be pursuing a professional career in music.
I particularly enjoy working with dedicated adult classical guitarists, university and conservatory students, young professionals, and serious musicians who have reached a point where they want more individual artistic and technical guidance.

Guitar Artistry is Laura's new mobile app, a dedicated digital studio for guitarists and music lovers of every level. Music, art, and the pursuit of knowledge have always been my passions. As a musician, artist, and a fervent learner, I seek higher answers to complex existential questions and look at life through kaleidoscopic glasses. As an educator, I try to teach through those values. In my commitment to achieving and fostering the highest quality musicianship and love for music in my students, I have developed a personal “philosophy of music teaching” that aims to gather and reconcile diverse influences that have been relevant on my career and life as well as interdisciplinary theories and methodologies—to find answers to some deep philosophical issues in order to create a pluralist music education philosophy that will serve as a basis for all my teaching endeavors and will work in accordance with the exigencies of the postmodern world.
